University of Texas at Arlington alumnus Maxwell Scarlett pictured in April 2004. Scarlett was the first African American graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington in 1966 and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biology. He received the Outstanding African American Alumni Award in February 2004. He received the Outstanding African American Alumni Award in February 2004.
