Front Street Festival Brings Music, History & Family Fun Sept. 26, 2026

The Front Street Festival is making its highly anticipated return to Knapp Heritage Park on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, offering local families a fun, engaging way to connect with the city’s roots during the City of Arlington’s 150th anniversary celebration.

Running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the free community event takes place in the heart of Downtown Arlington. Set against the backdrop of historic pioneer structures, the festival provides a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to reflect on the town’s rich history while enjoying a full slate of family-friendly activities.

The festival schedule includes:

• Historic Cabin Tours: Explore preserved 19th-century cabins and original structures that offer a glimpse into life during Arlington’s early pioneer days.
• Live Demonstrations: Experience history firsthand through interactive historical craft and skills displays.Local Vendors & Live Music: Shop goods from local artisans while enjoying live musical performances throughout the day. Family Fun: Interactive entertainment and activities suited for visitors of all ages.
• As Arlington honors its sesquicentennial milestone, events like the Front Street Festival highlight the city’s transformation from a quiet railway stop into a bustling North Texas cultural and entertainment destination.

The Knapp Heritage Park is managed by the Arlington Historical Society/Fielder Museum and is open from 1 to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday and for special events. For more information, call 817-460-4001. The park, dedicated in 2004, contains three of Arlington’s oldest structures, the Jopling-Melear and Watson cabins and the one-room North Side Schoolhouse. The park is also home to the Bardin blacksmith barn and a replica pre-1900s general store.
