Sesquicentennial Tree Planting

As the City of Arlington celebrates its 150th anniversary, we’re marking the milestone not just by looking back, but by growing forward. Our Sesquicentennial Tree Planting at Levitt Pavilion caps off a year-long, citywide effort to plant 150 trees per month in honor of Arlington’s 150 years — a living legacy rooted in community, sustainability, and pride. While trees will be planted during optimal seasons to ensure their long-term health, the collective goal remains clear: to average 150 trees planted each month across Arlington through a mix of community tree giveaways, new plantings, and replacement trees in parks, neighborhoods and public spaces.
