Arlington Kicks Off Tree Planting Initiative to Celebrate 150 Years

To commemorate these historic milestones, the Arlington Parks, Recreation & Culture Department has set a goal of planting and distributing a total of 1,800 trees, or an average of 150 per month, in honor of the City’s sesquicentennial celebration.
Arlington’s First Permanent Post Office Opens in 1939

The city’s first permanent post office? That didn’t take place until 1939, Downtown at 200 W. Main St. The building is still there and has a historical marker, serving as a school district tax office for a number of years. It is currently Worthington National Bank.
